Easter is just around the corner and we’re getting excited about the 4 day weekend. Here’s 4 foodie events happening this Easter.
Start the celebrations early with Barrio, Soho
Tonight Barrio Soho will be teaming up with El Dorado Rum and award-winning chocolatiers Rococo Chocolate for a rum and chocolate fuelled Easter tasting. Guests will be walked through El Dorado’s world-renowned 12 year, 15 year and 21 year rums, alongside specialty chocolates, to discover how the distinctive flavours can be matched and contrasted to create a taste-bud sensation of flavours.
Take an Easter chocolate making class
Bourne & Hollingsworth have recently launched their brand new cookery school, B&H kitchen. On Saturday 19th March, they’ll be hosting an all day Easter Chocolate making course with complimentary breakfast and lunch. Guests will get to learn how to temper chocolate and make their very own Easter eggs and chocolate goodies, packaged and ready to give as gifts for Easter.
Take a bite out of the ‘Easter Bunny’
South African street-food concept Bunnychow are offering an unusual take on the Easter Bunny. Bunnychow are renowned for their delicious ‘Bunny’s’ – freshly baked loaves, hollowed out, crammed with delicious fillings and topped with a bread lid. In the spirit of Easter, they’ll be serving a soft mini brioche bunny, filled with a rich dark chocolate ganache centre and topped with matcha green tea bread crumbs.
Experience London’s first ever dessert restaurant
Over-indulge at London’s Café Royal first-ever dessert restaurant. Sarah Barber has curated a series of tasting menu’s, one inspired by memories of her childhood and the other by Alice in Wonderland. These highly creative desserts look fabulous and taste equally as good. We were lucky enough to sample some of the cakes at The Hot Dinners ‘Elements 2016’ and we promise it won’t disappoint.
Barber has created specialty milk chocolate Easter eggs filled with salted caramel chocolates and a silver shimmer finish, available to purchase in The Café until 28th March.
