A promising new restaurant was opened in Covent Garden last week called Jar Kitchen.

Friends Lucy Brown and Jenny Quintero are new to the restaurant scene and have left their careers to create this relaxing and atmospheric restaurant. Chef Dominik Moldenhauer, who has previously worked at Heston Blumenthal’s Dinner and Greenhouse (Perth), is running the kitchen. He has put together an English menu packed full of interesting dishes, which include:

  • Jar kitchen’s baked beans, sourdough toast, bacon, slow cooked eggs (breakfast)
  • Ox cheek and cheddar croquettes with aioli and apple (lunch)
  • House made tagiliatelle, braised beef, kale, ale, mushrooms, Jar Kitchen ricotta (theatre menu)

Jar Kitchen strive to create great tasting food with a strict ‘farm-to-fork’ policy, meaning only the finest cuts are on offer. Even more charming is the fact that most of the food served is lovingly homemade, even the breakfast granola!

It really was a lovely dining experience and comes highly recommended.
