Interior designer Lee Broom is set to transform a street of disused shops to create ‘The Department Store’. Launching over 20 new products, this will be Brooms largest exhibition to date. Furniture, lighting and home accessories will be present against moody grey backdrops within a series of interconnected spaces.
“I wanted to explore all the things that inspire me right now, from new materials, vivid colours, pop culture, craft culture, techniques from the past and shapes from the future,” said Broom. “All of which to be housed in my very own Department Store.”
The products on show are highly playful including a Hanging Hoop chair, Chapel lights and illuminated spheres, which have been sliced diagonally and slid apart to reveal a flash of brass.
If you are lucky enough to be in Milan next month, make time to visit the Design week and experience it for yourselves.
