While we’re advocates of being kind to yourself and eating food that makes you feel good, we never think that should mean compromising on taste. What’s the fun in eating otherwise?

With that in mind, we’ve scoured the whole of London to find the best restaurants and bars that offer tasty-but-healthy-food…

Roots & Bulbs, Marleybone and South Kensington

Roots & Bulbs is a fun little café that works tirelessly to create healthy cold-pressed organic juices, superfood smoothies and wholesome naturally sourced foods to build a healthy life for their customers.

In the words of founder, Sarah Cadji, “We are constantly misled by food marketing that over promises and under delivers. Enough Talk! I believe in simplicity in ingredients, quality in product and incredible taste. I can’t promise that our foods will turn you into a supermodel, but I can assure you that the produce you buy from us will always be unprocessed and real.”

They also offer a ‘Juice Plan’ diet that consists of 4 different smoothies and a light evening meal. Its pricey, but the results are meant to be worth it!

The Gate, Hammersmith & Islington

Open since 1989, this is one of the must-try places for any healthy eater or vegetarian. The food is a blend of Jewish, Arabic and Indian foods, which reflects brothers and co-owners Adrian and Michael Daniels’ cultural heritage. Our top tip: Try the beetroot ravioli, its simply delicious.

Expect exciting and interesting taste combinations that you’ll instantly love, plus the restaurant’s design alone, is pretty beautiful.
