Brunch is every Londoner’s favourite meal of the week. Whether it’s avocado on toast or a new, innovative new twist, London is full of exciting new menus.

Daylesford Organic, Marleybone

There’s much to like about Daylesford Organic’s field-to-fork ethos, providing the city with fresh, organic food direct from their farm. The ground-floor grocery, deli and bakery is a foodies dream and their open café kitchen serves dishes created from their beautiful produce.

Daylesford’s brunch menu is split into two separate menu’s – early morning brunch and afternoon brunch. Their morning brunch serves up lighter, healthy options such as protein porridge and their super green eggs benedict.

But the place really comes into its own for lunch. Seasonal salads of, say, marinated courgette pasta, or raw slaw with cashews and a sticky soy and ginger dressing are substantial meals in their own right; bursting with health and beautifully fresh ingredients. If you’re looking for something a bit more indulgent, order their rare and native breed beef burger with cheese, bacon jam and pickled beets or their triple macaroni cheese which oozes with Swiss mountain Gruyere, Nufenen and Mozzarella. Both are to die for!

Brunch is served from 8 am – 4 pm | 6-8 Blandford Street, Marylebone, W1U 4AU

Gunpowder, Shoreditch

Are you getting bored of eggs and avocado and looking to switch up your brunch game? Then you need to be brunching at Gunpowder — a charming, intimate Indian spot in Spitalfield’s serving home-style Indian small plates.

The brunch selection is small yet well thought out. When we visited last year, our favourite dishes were the Indian Empanada, the Kadhai paneer parcel and the chickpea pancakes with shaved coconut and fried eggs.

Gunpowder proves how Indian fare is so versatile. The flavours are punchy, and the ingredients are incredibly fresh.

Brunch is served from 12 am – 3 pm | 11 White’s Row, London E1 7NF

Barbecoa, Piccadilly

Jamie Oliver’s latest restaurant, Barbecoa opened this week and is offering a mouthwatering brunch menu. The menu has been split into Oats & Fruity stuff, Pastries, Big Breakfasts, Barbecoa Classics and Sweet Things. We’re yet to try it ourselves, but you know where to find us this weekend.

We particularly like the sound of:

  • Chocolate Custard Brioche
  • Smoked Salmon Pumpernickel
  • Croque Baby – smoked ham, coolea, London bloomer and bacon ketchup
  • Coal-roasted Kippers – greens, spring onion, butter and lemon

Brunch is served from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm | 194 Piccadilly, London, W1J 9EX

Firedog, Fitzrovia

Firedog is bringing something new to the brunch scene – Mezze. Firedog’s ‘Breakfast Feast’ is offering London’s breakfast lovers something different: a cluster of sharing plates topped with treats like freshly made Lor cheese with walnuts and thyme; candied pumpkin with hung yoghurt; and menemen, a comforting blend of peppers, tomato and scrambled eggs.

Other dishes include Chargrilled plums with Kaymak, honey, salted pistachios and toasted brioche; Sujak hash with roasted onions, spinach, lemon thyme and poached egg and a Kofta burger.

Brunch is served from 8 am – 4 pm | 92 Newman Street, W1T 3EZ
