An elevated the foodhall shopping experience

Expertise
Interior Design, Branding & Graphic Design

Snan Foodhall takes pride of place in Doha’s Katara Cultural Village, located in the heart of the European-influenced, premium 21 High Street. The brand is owned by retail and leisure specialists Aspire Katara Hospitality (AKH), one of Qatar’s leading hospitality specialists with property interests in London. We were invited to create interior design and branding for SNAN. Our pioneering work for Harrods was attributed to the AKH decision in setting the global benchmark.

SNAN - The Concept

Taking cues from the European architectural style, our design concept includes all aspects of the store. One of which is the customer journey and adjacency planning by category for both the retail and hospitality offerings. The ground floor houses retail and counter concepts, including ambient categories. However, there is a change of pace on the first floor which hosts SNAN’s dining hall featuring a roastery and a pizzeria. The two floors are linked by a classical staircase with balustrading inspired by the original Cafe Royal in London Piccadilly.

The Orangery

For a street level impact and suitable impressive sense of arrival, our team designed an italian-inspired orangery for the entrance. The orangery showcases all fresh offers, from coffee to fruit and vegetables and a florist recalling jewel-like London’s Burlington Arcade. We introduced chandeliers, marble floors, handmade tiles, a mosaic floor, stained glass and plasterwork with gold leaf. These decorative and architectural features build on the grandeur of the development and aim to surprise and delight. The orangery commands attention, exceeds customers’ expectations whilst increasing dwell time, return visits and average spend.

Branding SNAN

In addition to our interior design concept for SNAN, our branding and graphics team worked on the brand identity, including designs and naming for all non-branded hospitality offer, uniforms, own label packaging, all collateral including bags and ticketing and in-house stationary.
