Cocktailfest

London Cocktail Week is back for its sixth year and it brings even more pop-ups, drink tours and tasting and mixing classes than ever before. Visit Spitalfields Market where the festival kicks off. Wristbands are £10 and entitles you to £5 cocktails in all supporting bars and pop ups.

We recommend ‘The Flying Circus’ hosted by The Dead Parrot for an immersive freak show, funfair and circus. Serving up amazing Monkey Shoulder cocktails, some great food and games, fire breathing and trapeze acts, what’s not to like?

Merge1

Merge has returned and will be running until the 18th October. London’s forgotten buildings will be opened to artists to use in unusual and challenging contexts, bringing together artists, performers, art organisations and collectives together to generate a debate amongst its visitors.

Merge Festival has been curated to promote and nurture emerging talent and give young artists the opportunity to show alongside high profile international artists. With works by Bompass & Parr and Marcus Lyall, it’ll be worth dropping by..

DiwaliFestival2

DiwaliFestival

Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Light, is coming to Trafalgar Square this Sunday. On Sunday the square will be transformed into a magical world of joy and festivity, where all nationalities, races and religions will come together to celebrate the triumphantvictory of good over evil. The event website states “Diwali marks a new beginning, a renewal of commitment to family values, and represents all the good virtues we seek such as love, reflection, forgiveness and knowledge.”

The programme includes traditional Asian music, dance and street food stalls offering the best of Southeast Asian Vegetarian Cuisine. A range of child-friendly activities are also available.
