Challenge

The project would need to simultaneously push boundaries creatively, while improving profits. Preserving and enhancing Lotte’s brand heritage was key. The total project size was also a significant factor, with a floor space of 140,000-sq. ft.

Solution

CADA engaged with the brief by producing a “Food Avenue” concept that helps Korean food lovers explore different food worlds. CADA’s team innovated by implementing a design with three distinct culinary zones, creating clean, contemporary branding and a crisp, contemporary wayfinding system that enabled customers to navigate the space with ease. Dynamism and theatre were crucial to the concept’s success, which CADA delivered by combining traditional retail with exciting new food concepts and areas for demonstrations.

The design is both refreshing and contemporary and is successfully driving sales (40% LFL uplift). A commercially successful rebrand and transformation.
