CADA Design was commissioned to re-imagine the food hall for Jarrold Norwich, with the first phase of the creation seeing a new ‘Downstairs’ experience. We are pleased to announce it has now opened.
The new food experience for the famously Independent department store in Norwich, Jarrold, includes a new combined Deli & Wine bar at the heart of the space. The Wine bar becomes the social hub of the space allowing for a longer dwell time in-store.
Eating and shopping become a combined experience in the space. Sharing tapas and small plates meets a new and improved food hall.
Cleverly reclaimed space allows for a new Wine dept with over 300 wines, a comprehensive spirits offer and a local Gin collection, alongside a wide selection of local, national and craft beers.
Cada created the environment to make the product the hero throughout. A mix of sharp lines in grey and fresh new materials mix with a copper and muted green colour palette. A new lighting installation allows for product focus within individual offers.
This new environment is the antidote to online shopping. Jarrold plan to open phase 2 in 2018 to enhance the ‘Downstairs at Jarrold’ customer experience.
