Webbs of Wychbold is one of the UK’s premier gardening, lifestyle and leisure centres providing a one-stop destination for home, garden and food retail. We partnered with Webbs to redevelop Food at Webbs, the new food hall and restaurant for the garden centre. Increasing the average spend per customer and developing this income stream in its own right by giving a reason to visit.
Our team worked with Webbs to transform the existing offer into a real destination for foodies. Selling high quality, locally sourced produce as well as fine foods from around the world. We created a premium retail space with dedicated counters. This includes a butchery, bakery, fresh counter, instore gelateria and specialist wine, beer and spirits department.
The interior and branding is simple yet elegant. Using metro shelving, timber and a colour palette of black and white which showcases hero products. Creating an engaging food retail experience and supports the brand message – that the food does the talking.
Since its launch in 2017, Food at Webbs has doubled its sales year on year. The following year it won the 2018 Award for Catering Excellence—Best Garden Centre Restaurant and Food Hall of the Year 2018 at the Farm Shop & Deli Awards.
