The founders of Pali Hill, came to CADA Design with an exciting idea for an international concept with local Indian roots. At this amazing historic location, we have designed a beautiful interior ready to disrupt the modern Indian restaurant atmosphere.
We worked closely with the client on their vision, ensuring that choices and materials have meaning and stories behind them.
The team selected many of the features carefully to create an edge and slight industrial feel. Firstly the lighting features allowed for transition from lunch to dinner. Secondly the Pondicherry yellow walls separate the bar and restaurant areas to create a Pali Hill feature from Mumbai. Finally the theatre of an open kitchen and open bar framed by glass panels to add height to the room.
Like the area Pali Hill in Mumbai where window screens were historically used to hide the ongoings inside restaurants. Pali Hill in London have opted for the same feature while giving a nod to the past of their namesake.
After opening in May 2021 as Covid restrictions are slowly retreating in the UK, we can see Pali Hill has been consistently busy. Proving this winning combination of menu concept, design, and fantastic food is a hit with Londoners.
