Founded in 1770 and employing more than 450 people, Jarrold is the retail jewel in Norwich’s crown. Our teams have collaborated with the business on several food-led projects giving us a solid understanding of the company’s ambitions and aspirations.

This project called for the creation of a new Mediterranean all-day dining offer. The new restaurant adjoins the new food hall, also created by CADA, and needed to share a similar aesthetic but with its own distinct identity. The restaurant is a redesign of an existing café space, reimagined as a new offer.

We worked alongside the chef to convert an existing café space into an all-day dining destination. The new restaurant is modern, atmospheric and relaxed, an inviting space in which to socialise, from breakfast to evening meal. It is the perfect place to enjoy a freshly baked pizza from the Gozney Pizza Oven, or a freshly prepared salad.

We took inspiration from the adjoining food hall with regards to materials such as brass fixtures and chose new colours including a striking burnt orange across the upholstery and distinct stitching to introduce a change of pace between the two, complementary spaces.
